Q & A

Question

Answer

Where are you located?

I'm based out of Ventura County, just north of LA.

Do you travel for weddings?

Yes! I would be honored to travel to document your love story. I currently travel for about 70% of my weddings.

Do you offer discounts for places you want to shoot at?

I do! I offer discounted pricing for these places/venues I'd love to shoot at! Feel free to reach out if you think your location might qualify.

Venues: Race + Religious, Malibu Rocky Oaks, Dos Pueblos Orchid Farm, Hotel Peter and Paul, The Pearl Hotel, Kestrel Park, Sunstone Winery, San Ysidro Ranch

Places: Cabo, Alaska, Big Sur, Greece, Italy, Iceland, Bali, France, Tulum, Jackson Hole, Hawaii, Montana

How far out should we book you for our wedding?

Typically clients book me a year out or as soon as they have their venue locked in. Inquiring earlier is best to keep from being disappointed as some dates are more popular and I only take a limited number of weddings per year.

What should I wear to my session?

I totally understand how daunting putting together looks can be. Make sure you plan a head of time to keep from feeling rushed and to ensure you're putting your best look forward. In general, wearing something you feel comfortable in and that's reflective of your personality is always best. Need a little inspiration? Visit my ever evolving Pinterest board of outfits. I also will be more than happy to recommend ideas to you if you need help!

Should I use a hair and make up artist for my session?

Having hair and makeup will make you look/feel amazing the day of shooting and only enhance your overall session and final images! I just ask that you be responsible for scheduling hair and make up times according to your schedule.

When do I pay you?

For wedding clients - I require a 30% nonrefundable retainer to secure your date. I can accept installments for my Bride and Grooms. Please be prepared to give the remaining balance at least 30 days before your wedding date.

For all other sessions - I take a 50% nonrefundable deposit with the remaining balance due at the time of your session.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

01. Booking - If you want to book your session with me, click the CONTACT tab above or shoot me an email and we'll start with availability and chatting about what you envision for your shoot. To officially book your session, I require a nonrefundable deposit. Your final balance is due the day of the shoot, and I'm happy to accept payment by check, cash, Venmo, or Paypal!
02. Session planning - Once we have your session booked, we'll start planning the shoot soon. Brainstorming about location, timing, wardrobe, themes, inspo, props, etc.
03. Shoot day - Pure fun & joy :)
04. Post shoot - Three weeks after your shoot, your final gallery with your best images professionally retouched and edited will be ready and sent to your inbox.

How much does it cost to work with you?

Full portrait sessions, are $600/hr. On average my couples invest $8k-$10k into their wedding photography collection depending on the scope, inclusions, and hours of coverage purchased. Your pricing is not locked in until your contract is signed and retainer is paid.

With that being said, I love what I do so I never want to turn away an opportunity to serve you. Having a conversation is the first step so let’s chat about your budget and see if it’s a possibility to work together in this season.

How do I book you for my wedding?

Shoot me an email that you interested and with all the fun details of your day. (date, venue, guest count, vision, etc.) I will shoot you over a PDF with lots more info if I am available!

Do you have backup gear and liability insurance?

Yes! I always bring a back up camera and plenty of lens. If your venue needs proof of liability insurance, no problem. Just let me know and I'll shoot you over the COI needed!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have 10 years experience and I received my BFA degree in Visual Arts from Belmont University in Nashville with an emphasis in photography.

Can we print our own photos?

Of course!

Who is your ideal client?

Someone who values communication, isn’t afraid to come as they are, & have a little fun doing it.
